A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive addresses under the very same domain name. For example, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all mailbox without any difficulty in case you’ve got a shared hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia Control Panel is fully featured, yet incredibly easy to work with, and it will allow you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with just a couple of mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be listed alphabetically in this section and on the right-hand side of each of them you will notice a small "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will enable this feature, clicking on it again will deactivate it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will inform you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this feature enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house built Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server package that we offer will allow you to create a catch-all mailbox with ease even in case you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each mailbox that you have set up with your domains in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will let you know if you’ve already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding enabled. If you reach the decision that you do not want the feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
